and an infatuation with it was as dangerous
as any obsession with luxury

why do we not see the renunciates
as having just another infatuation, obsession

instead why do we put a high value on purity

that messes up young minds and thoughts
and you start thinking and questioning
your own (non renunciate) behaviour
even though it is natural

the balance of viewing both extremes as undesirable
is somehow lost in translation

at the end of the day,
isn't all kind of infatuations the same
if it makes you behave in similar ways
